Rants - And another thing…
How could I have forgotten the curse that is cigarette butts? They are the most disgusting and avoidable litter out there.
Cigarettes are by far the most littered item in the world. Countless numbers of cigarette butts are dropped every day. When you drop even one cigarette butt, you are part of the problem.
No littering is acceptable, but what particularly annoys me is people who think that dropping cigarette butts out of a car window doesn’t count. I don’t know of a regular production car that doesn’t come equipped with an ashtray, so why don’t smokers use them?
Please - everyone - encourage smokers to take responsibility and use the in-car ashtrays. Let’s make littering cigarette butts - and littering in general - totally unacceptable. I say…..
